Entering the new year, we at Jewish Community Action carry with us our victories from 2012, as well as a renewed faith in social justice organizing and the Jewish community with which we work. As we prepare for the year ahead, and the campaigns—new and old—that we will pursue, we are excited for the unique opportunity this Sunday’s Speaking of Faith offers us, our allies, and our members.
At this event, which JCA is co-hosting with ISAIAH, His Works United, and the Center for Public Ministry, we will have a chance to engage at least 20 elected officials from across the state in a values-driven conversation on racial justice, community building, and financial reform. We will talk to, and hear from, representatives from both the State House and State Senate, just days before they begin what is sure to be a critical, transformative legislative session.
We invite you—our members and supporters—to join us for Speaking of Faith, and to bring your voices to conversations that we believe will impact our elected officials, and will further articulate our community’s values and goals for the year ahead.
We had an incredible year together in 2012. Please join us for our kick-off event of 2013, which, with your help, will be even greater than the year we just shared. See you on Sunday!
