"I was part of the Tzedek Institute in the fall of 2011. Since then, I have tried very hard to use the lessons that I learned during the Institute in my role as chairperson of the Tzedek Committee at Mount Zion Temple. In particular, I try to conduct at least one relational meeting a week with a Mount Zion Temple congregant. I want to learn people's interests and what makes them tick, I try to understand what Jewish values inform a person's understanding about social justice."
