In this letter in Zeek: A Jewish Journal of Thought and Culture, Jewish Community Action executive director Vic Rosenthal and Rabbi Morris Allen of Beth Jacob Congregation discuss the 2008 immigration raid at Agriprocessors in Postville, Iowa, and their subsequent work on workers' and immigrant rights. This letter was published on May 9, 2013, just one day before JCA, Rabbi Allen, allies from labor, immigrant rights groups, and people of faith went back to Iowa for the five-year anniversary of the raid that devastated an entire town. For coverage of JCA's involvement in the May 10 remembrance march and ceremony, please read this article from the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable.
