We did it! Together.

From beginning to end, this has been a campaign about conversations. We challenged you to have thousands of difficult conversations about why your state constitution should not limit the freedom to marry or the right to vote. You accepted that challenge head on and surpassed all of our goals. You shared your stories. You got out and talked to your neighbors. You canvassed, you made phone calls, and you won.

Today you should celebrate this historic victory for the state of Minnesota, for the Jewish community, and for yourselves.

As we reflect on this win, we know that the biggest win has been the transformation we've seen in our community. You have grown strong and connected. You have demonstrated that organizing works. We have built lasting relationships that will carry our work forward tomorrow and every day after that.

JCA is proud to have been with you on this journey, and we are ready for all the work that will come next.

Jewish Community Action believes that this work must be done with hope, optimism, and gratitude. Those values have never meant more to us than they do today, as we look out at our community and see them reflected back. We are moved and inspired by you all.

Today, we encourage you to celebrate with your fellow Minnesotans. Tomorrow, we invite you to celebrate with us.

On Thursday, November 8th, we invite you to come by our office (any time between 8 am - 10 am) for an informal gathering. We'll share stories, have something to eat, celebrate our work together, and energize ourselves for the work ahead!

Thank you, from all of us on the Jewish Community Action staff.
