In September 2011, Jewish Community Action launched the Tzedek Institute and welcomed a cohort of leaders eager to increase their leadership skills and learn community organizing through a Jewish lens. With a curriculum rooted in tradition and our core values, mixing group sessions and experiential learning, the cohort left transformed, and went on to organize in their congregations and communities with ongoing training and support from JCA. Their work will serve to deepen the reach of our congregational organizing and elevate the visibility of social justice in all of our congregations.
In 2013, we launched the second cohort of the Tzedek Institute. We're excited to train and learn from a new group of leaders, and we can't wait to see the work they accomplish in our community!
