We made it. In just a few hours, the sun will set and we welcome the first Shabbat following the election. It has been an anxious and stressful journey.

Here's the good news: the people have spoken. Across the country and here in Minnesota, people came out in record numbers to demand change.

Nearly 80% of all eligible voters in Minnesota cast ballots this election, smashing the previous high. In Hennepin and Ramsey counties, 88% of voters turned out this election, all while in the middle of a pandemic.

This is a historic win for democracy, and a win for democracy is a win for all of us. Now it's time to celebrate.

We celebrate by organizing to ensuring that the will of the people is respected, and that those they chose to lead are sworn in. We will celebrate by holding these newly elected officials to the promises they made. And we will celebrate by organizing for a just future for every Minnesotan, regardless of race, religion or zip code.
