While we are a non-partisan organization, and don't endorse candidates, we do believe civic engagement is a core part of our mission to bring justice to our community. A big part of this work is helping people register to vote, and increase their civic engagement.
Jewish Community Action is partnering with several immigrant led organizations in the Hennepin County suburbs to engage tenants around the upcoming elections, as well as build power for their tenant advocacy campaigns.
This work couldn't be more important: these knocks focus on mobilizing our most vulnerable neighbors--communities whose historical disenfranchisement has prevented our country from achieving the true democracy we so deeply need. We know the path to a more just and equitable society must run through empowering these neighbors, and that begins with conversations at the doors.
