Tikkun Leil Shavuot
In hard times throughout history, Jews have turned to Torah study as a tool to imagine other worlds and dream towards liberatory futures.
Shavuot connects us not just to the moment that God gave Torah to Israel but to all the generations that have sought this radical practice of imagination and hope.
For the second year running, we invite you to join into a long night of communal dreaming, learning, song, and ritual.
Our teachers will help us to consider:
What is the olam ha-ba (world-to-come) that we need to imagine during this time of revelation? And how does it help us connect with a more just/whole olam ha-zeh (this world)?
What hopes and challenges arise in this imagining?
How do Jewish traditions, practices, melodies… that shape the worlds we dream of building?
