Shabbat

One of the most central tenets of Shabbat is a day of rest. “Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of your G-d: you shall not do any work.”

Six days a week, Jewish Community Action staff and members work in coalition with local community groups, faith leaders and allies to dismantle systemic racial and economic injustice in Minnesota.

For one day a week, we choose to engage in private practice of transformative rest, so that we may play, dream and reimagine the world around us.
